Built in 1928, Republic Airport is located in Farmingdale New York approximately 40 miles from Manhattan. Republic is referred to as Long Islands Executive Airport. It is a general aviation airport which means it does not accommodate commercial flights, only recreational and business.

There are two hotels on the 526 acre premises as well as two fixed based operators and a two- story terminal building.
