Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego is right around the corner. The dates for the popular event, which features a variety of pop culture exhibits and draws in movie buffs and comic book fans from around the world, are from July 24-27, 2014. Badge holders have access to preview night, which is July 23, 2014.
About Comic-Con
Comic-Con first began as a much more low-key event in 1970, with just 300 comic book, science fiction, and movie fans gathering in the basement of the U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego.
Comic-Con San Diego has evolved significantly since, with more than 130,000 people attending the event over the course of its four days in 2013. Comic-Con has a little something for everyone, including film festivals, games, art shows, costume contests, and Q&A panels with some of the top names in the film industry. Attendees can also have the opportunity to take photos with and get autographs from their favorite celebrities.
