About Altoona-Blair County Airport – Martinsburg, PA (AOO)
The airport is owned by the Altoona–Blair County Airport Authority and was dedicated on September 23, 1947. Altoona-Blair County Airport was established in 1954 by the West Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission for the purpose of serving Altoona and, through an arrangement with the Penn-State College (now University) at Altoona, to provide improved air access to the region. The airport has averaged 80,000 passengers per year since 2005, making it one of Pennsylvania’s least busy commercial airports by passenger traffic.
